Food and drink doesn’t seem like it would be a large part of a celebration, but for most people it is what eats up most of your budget. And, if we’re being honest, it’s one of the best parts of the reception! Nobody will get their groove on on the dance floor with an empty stomach, and what’s the point of offering a toast without some champagne?

Royal Palace Ballrooms is here to cater to your every need. For your wedding reception, you can bring in your own catering to the venue or we can help you arrange it! Here’s the breakdown for all the noms.

Non-messy finger foods are the best way to go for appetizers. We love simple snacks like pretzels and popcorn at the tables, but sometimes we also like to go all-out with a fancy event with served hors d’oeuvres like olives, cheese and crackers, cocktail shrimp, or bruschetta. If you’re on a tight budget – skip the appetizers!

There are quite a few options when it comes to serving drinks at your wedding reception. You can host the bar and cover the tab for all the drinks, cover a certain amount of drinks, offer a cash bar for the guests to purchase their own drinks, or keep adult drinks out of the party altogether. We recommend having pitchers of water at tables or large carafes nearby. Lemonade and tea are great drinks to serve during dinner. Again, this is all dependent on your taste and your budget.

The two typical options for food at a wedding (if there is any food served at all) is plated or buffet style. The large ballrooms at Royal Palace offer plenty of space for a buffet, or we can serve your guests as they sit and chat with friends and family.
