The countdown is on! You’re getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life… your wedding!

You’ve set the date. You have the ring and the dress. And now you have to plan the CELEBRATION after the ceremony.

First, of course, you’ll want to select the perfect wedding reception venue. In the Hialeah, Florida area, you can book your wedding or wedding reception at one of the Royal Palace Ballrooms‘ two gorgeous banquet halls.

According to The Knot, the typical wedding reception lasts about four hours, not counting the pre-party cocktail hour. So get ready, let’s go through a typical wedding reception timeline.

Right after the ceremony, the couple and both sets of parents will form a receiving line to greet their guests before everyone heads off. And then the fun begins…

{  00:00  |  The Cocktail Hour  }

While the newlyweds are posing for photos with family after the wedding, the guests will make their way to the reception to begin enjoying drinks and appetizers.

{  01:00  |  Newlyweds’ Arrival/First Dance  }

The guests are seated, the emcee starts emceeing, the wedding party is introduced, the band starts playing, and the first dance happens — unless you’d rather wait until after the first course is served.

{  01:20  |  Cheers & Toasts  }

There may be a ‘blessing,’ and the mother and father of the bride will thank everyone for attending. Toasters start toasting and often continue throughout the meal.

{  01:30  |  Time to Eat!  }

Light music plays while dinner is served. Or if it’s a buffet, the DJ explains how the buffet line will work. The newlyweds should start eating as well. They’ll be busy later!
